Blodeuwedd is one of the most tragic and powerful figures in Welsh mythology, as told in Y Mabinogi. Conjured from flowers by two wizards to love a man cursed never to find love, she defied her fate, falling for another and plotting her husband’s death. As punishment, she was transformed into an owl, a symbol of sorrow and solitude. This tattoo, created for Nia, shows Blodeuwedd in her purest form—born of blossoms, with the owl subtly woven into the design and other tales of her life throughout.
