Believed to be at least 2500 years old, this bronze left greave is from ancient Greece. It features a repoussé lion’s face over the knee and muscular detailing on the calf, with holes along the edges for attaching a lining and/or straps. It measures 12.5 x 10.5 x 40.5 cm (4 15/16 x 4 1/8 x 15 15/16 in). This artifact is now housed by the Walters Art Museum in Baltimore, United States.
