⚾️On August 1, 1979 the Yankees’ Thurman Munson struck out in the final at-bat of his career. The strikeout made by Chicago’s Ken Kravec in the top of the 3rd inning occurred less than 24 hours before Munson’s tragic death in a plane crash. His final at-bat occurred in an eventual 9-1 Yankees win over the White Sox at Comiskey Park.
