November 29, 1971: On this day 53 years ago, the Miami Dolphins defeated the Chicago Bears 34-3 on a Monday night in front of 75,312 fans at the Orange Bowl. It was the first home Monday night game in Dolphins history. The game was an unhappy homecoming for Bears head coach Jim Dooley, who was a 1948 graduate of Miami Senior High School and an All American at the University of Miami.
